Now is a great time to get into Ableton Live for cheap if you have not done so already.

Ableton Live 5 Realtime Music Production Software @ Musicians Friend is on sale at Musicians Friend for only $299 (regularly $499 ). If you buy version 5 now, you get the upgrade to Live 6 for free.

The upgrade works like this according to http://www.ableton.com/live6-pricing - "Buy or upgrade to Live 5 now and get a free downloadable upgrade to Live 6 as soon as it is available! This offer is valid to all users who unlock their full version of Live 5 after July 14 and before October 31. Instead of the downloadable upgrade you can optionally obtain a boxed version of Live 6 including the Essential Instrument Collection for EUR 99/USD 119."
