I was working on a new track and fired up Sonic Charge Micro Tonic 3 today and much to my surprise - easter eggs replaced the drum pad buttons - no really!
By the way this is simply an awesome virtual drum machine!!!

has the soundtrack for credits always been there, if you waited for it?

What would you say is the most user-friendly drum machine for the technologically disinclined guitarist?

Zac,
One of the simplist software drum machines I know of is http://www.izotope.com/products/audio/idrum/.
However, with just a little extra time Microtonic would take you much further.

Virtual drum machine is a good way to go for anyone who is looking for a low cost way to produce broadcast quality beats right away. And really this one is good for producing any style of music that has a repetitive beat.
