Announcement: Modulate This! Producing Free Video Tutorials on Digital Music Production

Youtube_ad

I'm releasing video tutorials on digital music production via YouTube and this blog.  You'll be able watch the videos from my YouTube channel, www.youtube.com/newechoproductions or by reading posts on this blog. Videos appear under the category Video Tutorials.

To start with, I'm re-editing three existing tutorials I have on FL Studio and reformatting them to fit within screen YouTube dimensions.

  • Using the Vocoder in Fl Studio (Advanced)
  • Creating A Pattern with the Step Sequencer (Beginner)
  • Creating A Pattern with the Keyboard Editor (Beginner)

I'll be adding new videos from time to time on using Ableton Live and other tools so subscribe to this blog to get notified when new videos become available.

Welcome

Mark Mosher Electronic Musician Bio

BRIEF HISTORY
I’m a BMI recording artist and have licensed music to various projects. I’ve been playing keyboards in various forms since childhood. I played synth and sang professionally for the award winning Head Full of Zombies for from 1989-2003. Beginning in 2002 I began professionally composing, producing, and designing sounds for film, commercials, multimedia, and live theatrical productions. While I enjoy creating electronic music, I can write in just about any genre. For example, one of my songs "Flight" is an orchestral New Age composition featured as a bonus track for the DVD and soundtrack for the film One Six Right (film website, video of song on YouTube).

CURRENT PROJECTS

1.    Modulate This! Blog - In 2005 I launched www.modulatethis.com. This blog offers news, tips, tutorials and links for electronic musicians. To date I’ve written over 200 posts. The blog has been a big success with over 60,000 unique page reads and has over 140 regular subscribers and continues to grow every month.

2.    TEACHING – I teach others how to use Ableton Live and FL Studio.  Contact me if you are interested in lessons or a presentation on this fantastic production tool.

3.    PRE-PRODUCTION – I’ve been hard at work writing new electronica, ambient, and techno tracks. Keep on eye on my myspace page.

TECHNIQUE
Since 2002, I’ve been software-based. I compose and perform using various MIDI keyboards and controllers to drive software synthesizers and virtual instruments. Thanks to advances in computing technology, I’m 100% laptop based. I’ve been working with MIDI since it’s inception (gasp!). I have extensive experience programming synthesizers, sampling, resampling, beat slicing, programming FX,  recording audio, recording automation, drum programming – you get the idea.

All this allows me to go beyond factory sounds and loop-based music to create unique tracks with major label/Hollywood level production quality.

WWII Aviator Audio CD

Fasten WWII Aviator ™, is a new division of Newecho Productions dedicated to preserving memories through oral history audio books.

Our first audio book is called WWII AVIATOR: Always Fasten Your Seatbelt and is an oral history audio CD of Captain George Mosher's experiences in the Aviation Cadets and Ferry Command. Captain George Mosher (1923-2002) had a diverse career as an aviator in the Army Air Corp. He also had a gift and passion for storytelling. In the mid-80's Captain Mosher sat down in his living room and recorded his memories of WWII on to a series of audio cassettes. These recordings have been digitally edited and preserved on this CD which contains over 23 true stories (over 55 minutes) in his own words.

Visit WWIIAviator.com to learn more, hear samples, and purchase this audio book
